'For Jørgen Haagen Schmith'
by
Shallower
Experimental noise label The Hills are Dead Records have released their compilation 'Noise Against Nazism' digitally, on double tape and double CD. The Shallower track 'For Jørgen Haagen Schmith' features on the various releases, along with several other fantastic international noise composers and sound artists.
The track is named after Jørgen Haagen Schmith, a Danish agent who killed Nazis and gathered intelligence for the Danish Resistance Movement in World War II. I didn't want to particularly name the track something about smashing a Nazis face in or anything like that, so I did some thinking and decided on a more modest, albeit as powerful, title.
The Hills Are Dead Records released this collection of tracks digitally and on coloured tape and CD, which are available for purchase through the link above and the labels Bandcamp page/site.
